Registration deadline by mail, DMV or online
A mandatory in-person registration session runs the same day, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. After this date, registration is still possible in person through Same-Day Registration during the early voting period and on Election Day.
Early voting begins
Early voting runs daily through Sunday, November 1. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., extended to 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29. Same-Day Registration is available at early voting locations.
Early voting ends
The last day of the early voting period for the November election.
Election Day
Polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Same-Day Registration is available in person on Election Day.

No excuse is required. Public Act 26-42 implements the November 2024 statewide referendum: voters no longer need to provide a specific reason to request an absentee ballot for any referendum, primary or election.
